ABOUT ME
I am an integrative counsellor, trained in psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, with additional specialised training in mindfulness-based coaching.
I bring a unique and diverse perspective to my therapy practice. My professional background includes working in NHS and voluntary mental health services ~ specialising in substance use and addiction ~ where I have served as both a counsellor and a recovery practitioner. I have taught and practiced yoga and meditation for 20 years, alongside owning and managing my own independent retail business.
I offer support for a wide range of issues, including grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and family challenges. I believe in creating a tailor-made approach for every client, recognising your unique lived experiences. The relationship between counsellor and client is central to this process, and I strive to foster a collaborative and open environment where you feel able to talk about anything. Together, we can address holistically any feelings of stress, depression, or anxiety, and explore new perspectives and pathways for growth and healing.
My journey into psychotherapy began 14 years ago, shaped by my own experiences of lone and step-parenting, ADHD and Autism, bereavement, and family substance misuse. These challenges have given me a level of empathy and understanding that I believe enhances my ability to connect with my clients on a meaningful level.
My experience has shown me that we are all innately capable of building resilience, growing in self-awareness, and forming healthier relationships ~ with ourselves and others ~ and I am truly passionate about supporting my clients on their personal journeys toward well-being.
I believe in creating a tailor-made approach for every client, recognising and respecting your unique lived experiences.
